Reference build
Nervora: letting AI agents use enterprise tools safely
A reference architecture for a secure gateway between AI agents and enterprise systems, with identity, permissions, approvals and an audit trail.

The problem
What was the commercial or operational problem?
Most enterprise AI pilots stall when they move from chat to real systems. The hard part is not generating text. It is giving agents access to tools and data in a way that a security team, an auditor and an operations manager can all accept.
What we changed
What did we change?
We designed a governed execution layer between AI agents and enterprise systems. Agents never call backend systems directly; every tool call passes through a policy-aware gateway.
The role of technology
What role did technology play?
The gateway checks identity (OIDC, prepared for Azure Entra ID), applies tool-level role permissions, redacts personal data, sends long-running jobs to an asynchronous worker, prevents duplicate execution and blocks destructive actions unless they are approved. Every decision is logged and traced.
The process created
What operational process was created?
- 01Agent requests a tool
- 02Identity checked
- 03Role permission checked
- 04Personal data redacted
- 05Approval gate for write actions
- 06Asynchronous execution
- 07Audit record and trace
The outcome
What measurable outcome resulted?
A reference architecture we use to design agent integrations for real systems. It is built mock-first, with connectors prepared for enterprise platforms, and does not claim a production deployment.
What this is
A reference architecture and internal research build.
